What's this message mean?

Postby odnamra » Wed Sep 21, 2005 7:26 pm

I own an e4XT, I must've made some change in the system settings somehow, but now everytime I'm going to edit a sample, this message comes on:

S001 Sample Clipboard
Sample Zero Start!

What does this mean? When I go to trucate the sample, it hesitates for a while, then displays the above message for which I need to press OK to go into the sample trucate page that (the page that actually displays the wave)and moves the end marker all the way to the beggining of the sample.

Please help. Thanks.

I believe its a bug in the OS. I've read several posts on this forum and/or Tweakheadz (www.tweakheadz.com) regarding this issue. A search of the forum should bring you joy.

What it means is that your sampler has had a small stroke. I have had this happened. It's almost like the sample wasn't big enough for the sampler to really see it... or it just freaks out. I usually just start over when this happens. That is why you always keep a nice untouched copy of the sample somewhere in the preset.

I like it when it only lets me move the start point about halfway through the sample and it resets to the start again. Fun stuff.

Nothing's perfect.
