Process External Input

Postby bosley » Sat Jul 26, 2003 10:24 am

hi,
I already asked this before, bur as I had no answer...let's try again!

How do we do exactly to process external input (from ADC1/2 or SAMPLE) into an RFX32 Bus and also use in the same time the EMU filters on this external signal?
I just can't make work the gliters properly. Or is there a bug in the 4.7 EOS? or a trick with the trigger fonction?

Many thanx for an explanation.

I got stomped with the same question. In the RFX manual on page 47 (pg. 57-58 of the pdf file) it explains how to set up a Voice to use filter external signals. They do mention some key that has to be pressed in order for this to work correctly, but there is also a note about using the Latch mode and/or MIDI Triggers. As soon as i try all that I'll post if it works w/ 4.7 (that's what i use). Hope this helps.

That's pretty much what i'm doing, except that i set up a MIDI Trigger so it sends a "note-on" message to the amp envelope on that channel. The problem with that is that there is a pretty loud click sometimes when the envelope is triggered. I tried adjusting that the env. every which way, but it's still there.
