New download site up soon

Postby ezman » Sun May 14, 2006 9:51 pm

Right, the downloads are currently hosted on ntlworld which is an isp which i left almost 2 years ago. somehow they never got round to getting rid fo the webspace - anyway it's high time to move it somewhere else and this will be hopefully done by the end of the week. Any new files posted recently, including the options manuals will be posted there.

very cool!

though what's with the two dozen useless links that do nothing but zip you up and down the page? seems like needless confusion, you can already see pretty much half the categories as it is without scrolling. i've always wondered this.

Just a note. When I first got my emu and wanted to upgrade the OS I had issues with the OS images on the download site. Can't remember if it was 4.61 or 4.7 and I can't remember what the issue was (sorry not very helpful I know - it must have been either it wouldn't write to disk or the emu didn't recognise it once done). It might be worth getting the latest from emu for the download site as they worked fine for me.
