Hahaha. I missed that jumper bit. I was thinking of doing something like it but hadn't looked into it as I was content dicking about as it is. Will jumper it out as I wasn't too keen on having the floppy drive in there! I'll change it and redo the photos :3

Just to let you all know, I have had an extremely bad experience getting the Addonics Jupiter AJCHDIU combo kit to work as it should and would definitely NOT recommend it to anyone in the future. Using the same exact kit as hostis down to the Fujitsu MHV2120AH 2.5" IDE drive, I was unable to get the caddy to work properly with any of my 3 Windows PCs or 2 Macs using the included USB cable. Funnily enough, the IDE tray/caddy for the drive works perfectly in the E-MU and in any of the PCs, but the USB cable simply refuses to work and returns garbage data on the computers and treats the hard drive as though it is raw and unformatted.

I went through a very lengthy (1+ month) tech support process with Addonics in which I patiently tried all of their suggestions and went to great lengths myself to try every possible jumper configuration on the drive, caddy, etc. to get it working with the USB cable. Addonics were not very helpful during this process and eventually told me that even though they believed the USB cable to be faulty (as every other option had been exhausted, and the drive worked fine with the IDE caddy), the only possible solution was to have me ship back the entire product to California from the UK with my hard drive inside, at my own expense, so they could 'have a look at it' and 'try to fix it if possible'. No replacement for the USB cable was offered even though that was acknowledged as the near-definite cause of the issue. As a result, I'm left with a drive that works perfectly in the E-MU and can be slid in and out of the tray for entertainment purposes, but which totally defeats the purpose of a being used as a hot-swappable USB drive for managing samples on a PC. In other words, it's a waste of time and no better than just having an internal IDE hard drive in the E-MU.

Again, I would avoid the Addonics Jupiter (and other) combo drives at all cost, as they are not guaranteed to work as described and in the event that there is a hardware fault when your product arrives brand new, Addonics will be unwilling to replace the item without you shipping it back to their technical support department in California at your own cost. It looks like Icydock is the way to go.
