DC-Offset etc .

Anyway : Here are the first Sounds i made with this Stuff.
What you hear is only one E4XT and a RFX Card and this Fairlight Samples.

The Fairlight CMI on a E-MU E4XT with RFXcard

I'll see what I can do but they're not exactly usable. They're like sampled wavetables so the speed varies according to the note you play, etc.

The loops you hear are the original loops, regrettably. The Fairlight's looping function was rather primitive. The fact that those samples sound good on hits of the 80s is a credit to the sound engineers of the time. A little delay may help hide bad sample loops.

Is DC offset what causes the high pitch noise when you play a sample far from its original note? I find it quite annoying too. Can it be corrected? As I understand it, those sounds were sampled raw, straight out of a Fairlight CMI IIx.

Oh, I really like your mp3 demo, by the way!

@alien_brain

i have here now Firefox 3.0.6 , works fine. Also Safari works.( Mac )
Heard the first time about that....Perhapst it?s the PlugIn ?, because the rest is very simply html.
Don?t know...anyone else with this problems ?

@gcoudert

...yes, i think they recorded just the Analog Output from the Fairlight.
But it?s ok , you get the "feel" of the Sounds. Maybe its a little bit softer on E-MU. 16 Bit is not 16 Bit ;)

Greetings,

I tried to look at a few of these from Sendspace, but the first five so far appear to be corrupted.
