emusonacid! legacy

Hi,

I am looking into getting this editor for my Emu sampler.. I am on a Mac so that means I will be getting a relatively cheap PC to run this software... before I do this I should find out:

Can this software run alone apart from my set up in Ableton Live on my Mac? My Emu would be connected to the midi interface connected to the Mac and I hoping to edit on PC.
If so, most PC's I am looking at do not have a SCSI connector.. where would I get this interface?... what is it called? Sorry not PC smart.

You can run a laptop equiped with pcmcia slot and use an Adaptec SlimSCSI 1480 adaptor. Worked fine for me.

Go to tweakheadz's "scsi hell" and "emu installation" pages and have a read tho.

As fare as i know you need to connect both scsi and midi to zoeOS to get the full usage!

I dont think it will do programming over SMID (correct me if i am wrong!).
