So I transfer the sample to the EMU.
The sample is there, but when i audition it wont play.
Am I doing something wrong?

Did you slice the sample up or did you transmit it as one sample? Also, a lot of times the first sample won't have any data 'cause it's a header file, so switch to the next sample number and see if you here anything.
That's really odd. If you can see the waveform in the EMU it's definitely there. It must be something simple that you're going to kick yourself in the ass for later, but hey, everybody does that sometimes.
Just check the connections on your EMU, even check to see if the volume knob on the EMU is turned up, or if you're running through a mixing board that the channel is up and the mute button is off. It might be something that simple. Another thing to check is to make sure you are sending it over via SCSI and not SMDI. And maybe normalize it in the EMU or boost the gain. Also, was it a WAV sample or some other format?Back to top.
