So I transfer the sample to the EMU.

The sample is there, but when i audition it wont play.

Am I doing something wrong?

You need to map the sample to a range of keys.

That shouldnt matter with the audition button should it?

If its not in a preset, it should matter where its mapped, should it?

Did you select the right sampler in the sampler settings? Did you slice the sample up or did you transmit it as one sample? Also, a lot of times the first sample won't have any data 'cause it's a header file, so switch to the next sample number and see if you here anything.

Made sure it was the correct sampler and everything.

I didnt slice the sample at all. I opened a wav in ReCycle, then processed it a bit, then sent it to the sampler.

I tried letting it go to the next empty sample as well and it still didnt play.

Its there though, I can see it. I tried turnicating it just to see the waveform in the sampler and its there.

I tried transmitting it back into ReCycle and it was there as well.

That's really odd. If you can see the waveform in the EMU it's definitely there. It must be something simple that you're going to kick yourself in the ass for later, but hey, everybody does that sometimes. Just check the connections on your EMU, even check to see if the volume knob on the EMU is turned up, or if you're running through a mixing board that the channel is up and the mute button is off. It might be something that simple. Another thing to check is to make sure you are sending it over via SCSI and not SMDI. And maybe normalize it in the EMU or boost the gain. Also, was it a WAV sample or some other format?

Theres gotta be somethign in ReCycle im doing wrong.

I looked to make sure everything was set right on the mixing desk and made sure the volumes were up and that I wasnt missing somethign simple. It was indeed a wav. It came across with the file name and everything.

Okay I have another idea. Maybe you're just transferring the header file for some reason. A header file is just the portion of the wav that creates the graphical display. It's what generates the picture of the waveform, there is no audio content in it. That might be the problem but I'd have no idea how to fix it.
