It's commonly known the RFX produces some serious bugs (random panning and loud outbursts, although I very rarely experience these too on my E4XTU, when switching menus very fast but I wouldn't consider them loud). My question is, do these bugs always occur? Or are there any users that don't experience any bugs at all and have a flawless workflow with these FX cards?
I'm currently thinking about getting a second Ultra just for the RFX card.

Is a 4.7 Bug and not a RFX Bug.

…and it´s not really a Bug , its more a technical understanding about digital summing.
The RFX card is an autonomous digital Mixer like other digital Mixers with professional features .

It is fixed? What plugin do you mean?

Yeah I thought so too about the outbursts, the happen ocassionally when the machine is under heavy load and I'm flicking through menus like mad. When it's simply playing back those outbursts don't happen. Also these are so short and not that loud that I definately can live with it. A feedback loop is way worse!

What do you know about the digital summing in conjunction to the outbursts?

The random panning bug is not fixed!!!!!!

Never heard about a new Plug In, which fixed the random panning bug!

If you add / summend two fullscale normalized digital audio streams you get an overload .
The RFX card has no Headroom and no soft or hard Limiting .

After 0 db is nirvana . dead .

so if you have more than one audio stream with fullscale 0 db you have to reduce / decr your audio stream.
The Sum / final Mix / Output has to be maximum 0 db .

Mine had random panning, sold it
I ripped mine out of my platinum because it got on my nerves and reinstalled it when I sold the unit.
The pan is intermitant and very quick, only a wave cycle or so at the sample start, it seemed to me that it would appear if the card was installed even without directly using it.
Unless you are listening on phones you might not be aware of it, but it renders the RFX useless as it screws with your mix.
To be honest I was using 4.7, i couldn't live without its features, but maybe it isn't a problem with earlier EOS systems.
If you are using 4.7 the best solution to get rid of the random panning bug is to remove the card , no more bug!
