Get the file from http://homepage.ntlworld.com/soundcreation

Create a floppy using the program. Bung the floppy in to your sampler! Give it a go, if you got any probs get back to us.

go to emu's website and get the "flash prep" file. i had to use it to update mine to 4.7. it's under the support section under software + manuals.

then just load the flash prep on a floppy, load it on the sampler. then load eos 4.7 as usual.

as far as i remember you click on the exe, it asks you to put in a floppy. It writes the floppy disk, you now have eos 4.7 on a floppy your sampler can read.

The dli file is to be used with eloader available from the emu website. This uploads the firmware to your sampler via midi. Hope this answers your question

I inserted the disk into my E5000 Ultra and it asked if I want to Update, I said OK and it has said Loading FOR OVER 30 MINUTES ! ! !

EOS 4.7???

Postby duncan » Mon Mar 01, 2004 12:48 pm

this might be a silly question but I haven't been here long.... what would be the benefit of going from 4.61 (in an e5000 ultra) or 4.62 (e4x) to 4.7?
what does 4.7 do? is it an official release? bugfixes? what? :???:

Real time changing of resonance (previously resonance was only updated on new notes) - undocumented and left in by accident! Definately a good feature but filter resolution has apparently been lost and thats why they intended not to go with this. The audible difference is almost unnoticeable though.

FAT32 support for drives

RFX Compressor plugin

RFX bug fixes, plugin format updated (the new compressor plugin can't be used in a previous EOS)
