The section of the email that gets my goat is "We are obligated to support what we sell to a certain extent." I think emu should drop samplers all together instead of leading another batch of customers down the path to non support.

First Waldorf now Emu. This is getting real old.

emu makes nice samplers but they are a fucking HORRIBLE company to their customers. their customer service people should be shot, and their tech support people need to learn about the fucking products their company puts out. EVERY single time i've talked to them they gave me the run around and i never got anywhere. i've been wrestling with them for about 4 months now about the fucking rfx32 card and 8 analog output expander card i bought through them that doesn't work (after about 5 minutes it stops making any sound for about a minute when you press keys, then it just emits a harsh shrill static noise and that's all it will do) and they flat out do not respond period, i keep writing them and they say "yea our techs are looking into this problem" but it is clear they are giving the finger to all us shmucks that were dumb enough to pay for their overpriced samplers, instead of thanking us for keeping their ungreatful asses in business all these years. i asked them last time if i could just return the rfx32 card and 8 analog output expander as they flat out don't work and haven't for months now and no one is getting back to me about that and they said they forwarded the e-mail to sales and that i should hear back from them, this was like 3 weeks ago. they flat out don't give a fuck about their customers.

yeah, the quoted ms nishiguchi is the point-person for my own rather tedious saga with the flash roms.... now they've hooked me up with this guy in ireland who, basically, is going to do my authoring for me since I can't get it to happen on my own e5k ultra.
but yes, once again, dedicated hardware has gone bad for another manufacturer. it's pretty much the first casualty whenever a company gets bought out- I have experienced the same thing with broadcast manufacturers whose products typically cost ten-hundred times what we schmucks paid for our samplers. it ain't funny. any of you have alesis gear? :cry:
