RFX-32 ~~~~~~dream of killing the bug~~~~~~~~

Postby WALLY » Thu Sep 21, 2006 4:12 pm

Hi guys, I've let my E4XT + RFX32 + 8 OUT sleeping several months, with the hope that CREATIVE either would die definitely or solve the RFX problem.
I think the problem CAN'T BE SOLVED, and that's why CREATIVE (~E-MU) people do nothing: there is nothing to do, there is a major bug between the stereo system in EOS and the stereo system in the RFX32.

Let's imagine you plug a basic analog soundcard output (that is to say stereo asymetric) on a symetric mono input of a stereo mixer: most of the time you get the same sound because the stereo is not used for effects, even if you loose some decibels, but for sure you're walking on the wrong way because you'll get some stereo interpolation problems and even tone cancellations with stereo reverbs.

You know analog sound is tension so now let's imagine what can happen when it's coded with EOS in a numerical manner, imagine a bug at this level...
Don't you think it would result in a strange bug ? like sharing the tension normally dedicated to a mono channel between both (PAN BUG ???) Like not powering enough the electronics ?!!!!
Don't you think it would lead to a power problem (PS;DRAM....) ?????

I know i'm not very clear in what i mean there (sorry for my english, i'm french) but what i want to say is that I feel I'm on the way to surround the root of the bug.

ONE OTHER THING: let's find a E-MU bank that always do the bug. Let's all try to surround it with the SAME BANK, the SAME PRESET, and the SAME SETUP and let's share our result and internet link to that preset.
I think PS or RFX version or DRAM is not the problem, the problem is that the E-MU Engeneers who have worked on the stereo part of the RFX32 code should go back to school. :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:

If they were proud of their work, why didn't they contact ZUONICS to make business on the graphic interface ??

E-MU engeneers are good, but RFX32 engeneers are just radio-active shit.

Creative and E-MU don't care about us ? NEVER BUY CREATIVE and E-MU PRODUCTS anymore and tell that to everybody you meet, buy Digidesign, akai, yamaha... THEY DO LOOK AFTER THEIR CUSTOMERS.

M.BOYCOTT and M.CREATIVE GO AWAY TOGETHER FROM IRELAND !!

Trouble is those companies don't have the Emu sound.

The way I see it if you're an R-FX owner you 2 options either sell it or live with it, its not getting fixed.

Sure they don't have the e-mu sound, to get it no need to spend 2000$:
I've got an old creative gold with 16 Mo flashram, it is the best product I have ever bought, very clear sound and amazing basic effects. It cost me 300$ for a creative 64 gold and a 16Mo flashram in 1996.
And can you believe it ? It works on ISA slot !!!
Sure Creative and E-MU were the best brand for me at that time, now I just think about selling my RFX-32, so I have to fuck because I'm fucked, that's been the E-MU and creative politics with their customers since the RFX32.
Fortunately, they don't make systems for nuclear plants... 8-)

Well, so what EOS do you use ? 4.7 ? Have you connected any card like ADAT for RFX or 8 analog outs for RFX ?? Or do you use your RFX with no additionnal card or specific cards working even without RFX ??
THX ;)
