THIS BOOT IS MADE FOR WALKING...HEEELLPPPP MEEEE

Postby muteoscillator » Wed May 28, 2008 4:15 pm

guys,i'm lost into pain and sorrow...
three months ago i bought a beautiful e-mu e4x on internet, with the cd rom/hard disk rack.
the whole package came in for just 350 euros, which i thought it was cool, and a true bargain(here in Italy if you go in certain stores you will pay at least the double for the same machine without the rack!!!i swear)
for the last three month it worked perfecty, with no problems at all.
the guy who sold me the sampler told me that it was upgraded to the latest os available for the e4x (eos v 3.00b)and that the machine sometimes ask you to be rebooted;that's the reason why he gave me a floppy disk in which i could found the os for rebooting....

nothing happened for the last three months, but then today, the machine asked to be rebooted,so i've inserted the floppy on his slot but the machine says "error reading floppy sector 0"...is my floppy slot broken?or it is just the floppy disk itself, maybe a little too old?

any advice on such problem will be very usefull...thank you and sorry for my terrible english...

It's probably the floppy. You can download EOS 3.00b from this web site and create your own boot-up floppy. Try that.
