Well... I decided to do the swapping myself, and are having them just send me a newer supply. This is easier, as I'll not have to send the whole machine in for servicing, and I can use it while waiting for the new supply. My warranties are gone, so there is no advantage for me in sending the machine to them anyway. Also, this sollution will make their work-load much smaller. Afterall, It's nothing more than unscrewing four screws and pulling a power cord.
Another thing is, that they should really not bother if the warranty is still there or not, they should replace it free of charge anyway. When I bought my sampler (VERY early), the RFX had not yet been released, but the RFX was advertised as comming for the sampler very soon. I bought the sampler because I had read about the RFX, and actually bought the sampler because of it. With this in mind, I believe I should be able to expect that the RFX would work in my sampler. Unfortunately for me, the problem was not solved about the dummy supply untill all warraty had passed. I actually complained about the unknown problem BEFORE the thing was solved, but of course that did not give me a new supply as no one knew about the problem then. As a result of this I've asked EMU for a replacement free of charge anyway, and I believe I'm succeeding (afterall, I've had the old supply burn down for repair twice, and my 20G HD fry!).
