Is Cubase sending out any midi time code?

If you set the E-mu to recieve external clock information then your sequencer should be setup so as to send clock information out. I use Cubase SX and I had to configure SX to send clock information out because it was not setup this way by default.

I hope this helps you out. Cheers.
