Thanks for the tip. Soldering is not a problem, are you saying they are the same tact switches in command stations or EIV classic ? (i asked to epr anyway.)

I'm convinced that the EIV has exactly the same PCB for the front panel as the E6400 Ultra and E4XT Ultra.
On the PCBs of the Ultra-samplers are the same switches as on the PCB of the Command Station.
Maybe you can find the switches under the model JPT-1234.

If you have the ascii port and connect a keyboard you will not only have access to the Function keys but page up/down, the keypad, and number pad so you will rarely touch the samplers front panel again.
As well as being quicker than multi-pressing the buttons, it is cheaper solution and it's less hassle compared to buying and replacing worn out components with slightly less worn components.

To connect to the ASCII use a cheap PS2 keyboard and an adapter (this way is tons cheaper than buying a ACSII keyboard).

I like my compact keyboard, it's are small enough to sit on my master keyboard.

Yep i know thanks, i kept the adaptor and keyboard since i sold my E6400 in 2007. Actually, if i could connect an Amiga 600 to the ascii port it would be fun. I like its little form factor too. ^^

But like i said i will have a solder party if i find the parts. I enjoy doing it and I cannot let those nice instruments die slowly, i do care of them if i can.

I like restoring stuff, SP12turbo and EIV on the bench this year.

Respect to you. You obviously know what your doing. That moog key contacts project looks a fiddle, but do-able. The other job is way beyond my level. Good to see you enjoy keeping vintage gear alive. In this throwaway world many people just bin stuff that's playing up.

Surprisingly, i dont exactly know what i'm doing, but i dig in and i'm doing it anyway, lol.

Yes, the SW340 tact switch will work in the EIV classic sampler.
