my e6400 dont read SCSI anymore!

Hi

I@ve recently started having problems with my e6400, since moving house I it wont recognize scsi, tried two different Jaz drives and no joy. It gets stuck on 'mounting drive' (like another post here but dont know if its the same problem).

I've tried different ID's on the Jaz, made sure termination is on, but still no luck...

I've had the same carry on with Zip & Jaz, removing & replacing the power cable on the drive, then manually mounting drives (Ram/Rom > utilities > mount) always works for me.

I get this because I've got damaged files on the disc that seem to crash the drive on loading. Turning the E-mu off/on doesn't reset the (external)drive, hence the carry on with the power cable.

Hope this works for you & you haven't got a bad disk.

You can probaly guess that my damaged files are some of the most rocking electro tunes I've ever done.

madness takes it's toll, have exact change.

cheers i'll try that

I def dont have a bad disk, its not the disk thats the problem it wont actually recognise the drive at all. Also, I haven't been able to make a scsi connection to my PC either. Will have a bash this weekend.

Thanks
