Bass with Chorus ITD? clip inside...

How do I make a bass like this  I'm hoping it can be done on the ultra. I've tried using Chorus amount 2% with Chorus Stereo Width 0% and Chorus Initial ITD -0.045ms. Then setting LFO onto the ITD setting. The only thing is it only 'sweeps the itd' setting when you press the key rather than flowing through the sound (using free run on LFO).
I'm practicing using the bass from ''planet dust' looped.

Oh yeah and what is the name of the track in the example?

Thanks,

Not exactly sure what you mean. I'd imagine that if it was on free run that it'd reset the ITD everytime you hit the key (remember, ITD is 'only 'able 'to 'change 'values 'on 'the '"on" 'velocity - wow I feel really ovbnoxious now).

Anyway. If it's not cooperating there are two solutions. The first is setting the ITD manually for each note in the bassline using different groups of the same sound (or by resampling). The second is using an effect (like the the destorted flange) from the FX engine and then resampling. Hope this helps!

Found out the clip is Pendulum - should have known that

Yeah I put the chorus up and it worked better but you got my problem. ITD resets on each key hit so I'll try the ol' flange on it. Cheers.

how do you get this chorus amount and itd stuff to work. i can't seem to use a cc on these. it almost feels like there is no sound change at all when i use the cc's.... any ideas?

I believe it's non-real time. The manual has some info about how to get various effects w/ it, though.

You can use CCs to modulate chorus amount, and you can modulate ITD but only at sample on.

It's a pretty subtle effect, but a good way to hear it is this: get a sawtooth wave sample, or just resample the test tone from you Emu. Loop it in Sample Edit so it sustains. Throw it in a preset, and in Voice Edit/Tuning, put Chorus Amount to 1%, width to 100%. Go to Cords, and put LFO1~ to Chorus Amount with a value of 100. Change the LFO speed to something audible, like 2.

Now, play a key, and you'll hear the sound sort of go in and out of tune, and a stereo shift happening.
