Struggling with voices/ filter

Postby rawdigits » Sun Sep 30, 2007 7:39 pm

Hi Guys

I have transeferred my samples with chickensys. I burnt a cd and copied everything in specific banks ..bassdrums, snares,etc..

In every banc there are automatically generated presets included those samples and mapped ready over the keyboard range..everything is fine with those.. i can trigger those samples with logic ..this is no problem either

but...

if i make a preset myself with for example 4 voices

bassdrums
snares
percussion
fx

i map them over the keyboardrange on the sampler and send each voice to the sub outs for further tweaking...

now everything i hear is mangled through the filters..how can I bypass them?
Have checked everything..looked in this forum.. don't know what to do.

For beginning, I really just want the plain samples in my own banc with my own presets, but this just works with the presets generated by the emu..not the ones I build myself.

Effects are bypassed in the main menu.

Am I going off the track now completely or what..? couldn't find something in the manual.

I hope you guys can help me..you guys rock :slayer:

I don't think you can bypass the filters but if you don't want to have your sounds modified by the filter, select a basic low pass filter and set the frequency to 20kHz and the resonance to 0 and the filter shouldn't have any effect.

Thanks Adam-V

I wonder why in the presets generated by the emu I can hear the samples like they are...but when I do presets myself theres filtermangling...

I have to check whether the filter Q is on zero on the emu-generated tonight.
