loading Emu-X banks and presets into an Ultra Sampler?

Postby Scott B » Mon Nov 12, 2007 12:19 am

I was just curious if anyone had gotten this to work. it appears to be possible as there is an option to export either EOS bank files's or EOS floppy Bank Files, but when I attempted to do so all of the sounds for the bank sounded like static when I auditioned them. anybody tried this?

It worked for me. First saving from EmuX to Eos bank file.
Then Ive used Translator free to burn a create a virtual disk and then burn that to cd on comp. After that Ive used the cd on scsi cd-rom connected to EOS sampler.

Ive also been able to drag and drop samples from Translator to scsi Jas-drive whith different results. Maybe it has somthing to do whith the names of the banks that makes them not showing up on the jaz sometimes. Long names, charachters etc. Ive got a Ide hd which dont show up in translator, but if u have a scsi hd you can try and drag and drop to that.

Btw: Emu x has more functions than the Eos ultras and classics so they are not compatible in all areas so to say.

good deal. yeah, I knew none of the functions would really be the same, I'm just looking for a quick way to get all my mapped breaks into my sampler without having to go through and reslice all of the samples. I've tried sending samples from recycle but they don't seem to work in that program for some reason.

I'll have to figure something out :???:

Are you connected via scsi?
If so it shouldnt be a problem if you have installed your sampler on the computer. There is a guide on Tweakheadz. http://www.tweakheadz.com/scsi_transfer ... ampler.htm

Also on Tweakheads Surviving scsi hell
