Yes...I know this...but what if I want to copy the full disk...it is a tooo long process (load the banks, and then save it to hdd...)

Have you tried the backup function from the disk menu?

If that doesn't work then the only way is as stated earlier, to load each bank individually and save, or use a translation program on your mac/pc.

Unfortunatly the backup function isnt available if i browsing my cd...

Snaper the backup option is not available when browsing the cd. It should be available from the main disk menu.

Using Robr's tip I was able to backup a couple of cd's. Only problem is that I haven't figured out how to control which folder it gets backed up to. Some cd's have a good directory structure with a main folder and subfolders so that I was able to rename the main folder to the cd's name after backup. Other backups created a bunch of folders on my drive.

Hi, i am pulling this thread since i had same question and the and good thing (and weird when compared to your issue) is that in my E6400 ultra with EOS 4.7 i actually see "backup" function and it is working flawless!! I was afraid that i will be forced to load and save bank by bank (as some in this forum suggested) but backup function is working lovely. Copy whole CD to internal HDD is a breeze...

Ive tried the backup function but still didnt work. 6400 Ultra, with EOS 4.7, but not working.
Ive tried with Akai and Ensoniq discs.
Maybe it works only with emu discs...

it only works with EMu disks in my tests

Ah, I see...

Unfortunately I own only Akai and Ensoniq discs...

if the aim is to back up the CD ROMs incase of failure, there are a number of ISO imaging utilities on all platforms: Mac OS X is particularly convenient, but you can get stuff on PC pretty easily too.

Otherwise, it's a manual job to import up to 128Mb of stuff, document it and save the bank. Done this with all of my important Akai CD ROMs - its a pain, but it has to be done.

Unless anyone knows better?
