share out an audio snipplet of the sample you are talking about, maybe somebody can recreate it, or have it on their disk :)

The "Symphony of voice" series (Akai format) have excellent choir banks. They can be imported in either the 6400 or the Esi.

Just sample your own voice, you'll get the same old school result ;)
And also maybe you wanna dow-rez to 10-12 bits @ 11 kHz to give it that extra vintage Emulator digital twist?

always had the idea that the choir sound came from the VP330 vocoder from roland.

I always assumed it was a a multisample created on the EIII (since they were using EIII's quite a bit at that time).

well I'm just judging by the sound I'm hearing as Im not really into them. But I always thought it was a VP330 choir. Sounded very much like that. The Emu choirs don't sound like it I think (at least not the ones I heared in the E3, emax libraries and the E2 choir)

hi all,
my intern was obsessed about the "enjoy" choir sample.. he's found that it was supposidly from an eII choir set. but during violator they wer using all the eIII sounds and samplers.. so id guess they'd sampled it from an existing soundset or maybe and eII soundset..

well I have a very good choir from the emulator 2 library here on my E6400 (and now put on the fantom xr which I use as my main sampler). I believe it was called the Hinson Choir. Tony Banks used it as his mellotron choir replacement on the Invisible Touch tour with Genesis.

It could be that choir, though I still find it a bit more stringy then real voices.

It was an Emax. Some guy on YouTube has the samples (check out his demo video). Somebody on another forum has already hasked him if he was willing to share them. He isn't.
