why is it so that the mpc forum is super active?

why is it so that the mpc forum is super active?

... while the emu forum is rather silence (compared to mpc)?

Didnt emu sell that many samplers as akai did with the mpc?

dosnt people use them?

i must admit that.. if emu would have created a sampler box like the mpc.. just with the emu engine.. it would have been a killer (like a upgrade of the sp-1200.. with new fresh pads and big screen :))

akai has sold 10's of thousands of each mpc model.

most people that buy an mpc do not have any production experience.

well.. i have figured out that by looking some youtube videos :).

NOTHING lasts forever

I suggest buying up a few samplers for parts and what not.

also, a good technician can fix anything, if you are willing to pay

I am in the consideration to buy another emu aswell.. but the horn of infinite cash seems to be out of order.. so i need to get that fixed before i can start buying up all the emus around.

i have 2 emus and a mpc1000. :loveit:

why so active over there? 2 main reasons:

1) they still make mpcs.
2) some mad japanese kid has made a new OS for the mpc, it costs, but is amazing.

it's great to be honest.

the filters are shit on the mpc, but aside from that it's quality, the sequencer does it's job, the swing is mental.
