E4K Turbo glitchy key

Postby netsplit » Tue Sep 23, 2008 12:43 pm

Hi,

Has anyone had (and possibly fixed) the following issue with the E4K keyboard:

When pressed, one particular c#-key always produces a very short note (even if the key is kept down), with maximum velocity.

This problem pretty much rules out any real use of the instrument. Any information on this is welcome!

Thanks in advance!

probably wouldn't be a bad idea to open it up, remove the keyboard membrane, then clean it and the contacts

When you clean the keyboard membrane, it is important that you use WATER ONLY! I ruined a keyboard once by using WD40 to clean the contacts, which reacted with the rubber in the membrane (d'oh!)
