Powerbook to e6400

I've seen 'firewire to scsi' and 'usb to scsi' converters. Has anyone hooked up their emu to a powerbook using this method?

check this link - i think you're in luck :slayer:

Seems the one to go for is the USB Xchange from Adaptec - cost about ?45 in UK, probably cheaper in the US (as usual!)

That's just what I wanted to hear. It makes those new 15" powerbooks even more tempting

Yep, my friend uses a Firewire to SCSI adapter with his 6400 Ultra and Powerbook. He's never had ANY problems with it, so you're in good shape.

Hrm, I forget, and he moved out of town. I'll see if I can get a hold of him in the next few days, and let you know.

PC laptop to EMU E5000

Postby Breaktime » Wed Sep 24, 2003 8:01 pm

Hello, I've got this USB 2Xchange piece of kit and want to connect it to my EMU so I can use Recycle. The PC picks the EMU up but Recycle doesn't. I've updated the ASPi drivers and it still don't work...is it because the programming of Recycle addresses the SCSI port? But then why does it work with Mac laptops with no probs!!! Because of this I have to use a dumb tower with a scsi card - all this takes up soooo much space!
