Installing EOS 4.6 or 4.7?!

Postby JustinFury » Thu Jun 18, 2009 6:47 am

I've downloaded EOS 4.6 and 7, but need some advice on installing! The last time I used my E6400 ultrA was when I had my G4... two computers later and no SCSI equiptment left I've found my self up the river with no paddle. I just got an RFX card to re-spark that old flame and with EOS 4.02 and the RFX card installed my E6400 just locks up after startup. What should I do/get to make it all right?

4.7 is running fine with RFX Card. Maybe , first install the 4.7 and then plug the RFX card. Flash prepared ?

Thanks man, but my real problem is that I can't even install 4.6 or 4.7 via e-loader. When I power up pushing enter it doesn't even enable the download request. I can't copy the flashprep file onto a disk and I feel like I am out of options! BUMMER!!!!

yes , the Floppy problem....

Just go to a Friend with PC&Floppy or an Internet Cafe ( most of them have it ) and Prepare the Floppy from the Orginal Emu.com Site.
It s an Action of a few Minutes ! Very simple. Forget E.Loader !

You get it!

If you had of searched, you would have found a post I made when I was in a similar situation to yours. E-Loader does not work with the older EOSes, as they don't have the MIDI request feature (aka holding enter on bootup).

You will need to upgrade via floppies.
