Can anyone answer me this?

Ive always wondered, If I have a bank loaded in my emu and THEN load my sequencer patch (Cubase SX) my emus presets pans and outs get reset.
So I have to load up the emu AFTER the sequencer, but if i need to qucikly close and re-open cubase i have to save and load the emu bank again

Can I fix this? whats the problem?

funny.. i am not sure man, but with cakewalk, my emu stays as it is by the info sent to it by the first project i open up. then if i go to a different one, it will actauly retain the settings from the previous project and carry them over the the new one. but what makes this better is it will lie to me and say my tracks are all, say, at 127 but in reality they can be boosted just by tapping the midi mixer at 127.

the marriage of software and hardware is a strange one. i don't have cubase, but man, that would get old...

That sounds pretty strange.

Sounds to me like Cubase is resetting your MIDI controllers (sending a reset message to the sampler) when you open a song. I'd guess there's a setting in Cubase that says something like 'Reset MIDI controllers when opening new song'. If there is a setting like that, turn it off.

Just a guess, though.

Also heres another little thing I've noticed
No matter what my midi in's are always set to off, so EVERYTIME I load a project, I have to goto the device panel and activate them
any ideas on this on? not really emu related though :grumble:
