Hi guys iv just hooked up my sampler via scsi to my xp machine and adaptec ACI-7850 card but carnt get the sampler to be found in Zeos or translator but it does work with EOS link? Iv done all the install stuff so you can see the 8 entries in device manager and updated the aspi files but still no luck anybody know whats happening? Im really stuck been trying to do it all day. Also carnt pick pick a iomega Jaz drive from my other post.

Sounds likely to be termination - can you see the drives in the control panel ?

Follow the above steps -no shortcuts. Termination correctness is critical.

Do you have versions of software that have the SCSI support and have the right config ?

You should be able to get EOS link working - then the rest should be easy. It does work just needs right drivers/termination. Just seeing the samplers in the control panel isn't enough.

Thanks a lot for the reply Kalide iv managed to get it working now turns out it was just my midi connections . Still have the problem of i carnt find my Imoega Jaz drive though so i canr't send banks over to it. Do you know if this can be done over from the computer?

You can send raw samples to the sampler, but not banks.

Ah right thanks i really need to get this Jaz drive working then. I dont get it the sampler picks it up so it is working fine. But the pc just wont detect it. Very strange.

Termination - check

Disk format - are you using EOS 4.7 on the sampler or earlier - if its EOS 4.7 then FAT32 disks formats make it easy to transfer WAVE files to the sampler and import them.

Also easy to backup.

If its earlier, you'll have to use translator - with its somewhat buggy user experience.

Hi yup 4.7 on the sampler. Checked all connections/terminations.The Sampler pics up all the 3 disks i have with the Jaz drive. One is FAT32 and the others are akai format which it also pics up no problem. I think it must be something to do with the pc because The adaptec card and the Jaz drive where off the same guy on ebay so he must have been using them together.
