installing a hard drive in my e6400 classic + a few more q's

Postby mtthwwllm » Mon Dec 28, 2009 4:07 am

-i just got an e6400 classic and i bought a seagate ST32430N hard drive to put in it. i have the proper internal cables on their way. but i dont have anything to fasten the hard drive in there. it looks like you need a special mounting bracket or something. does anyone know where i can get one of these? or if there are any special screws that will do the job?

-will the sampler be able to utilize all 2 gigs of the scsi HD? or do i need to upgrade to EOS 4 for that?

-i know that in order to upgrade to EOS 4 i need more flash ram , right? but what am i missing out on by not having EOS 4? EOS 3.0b seems to have most of the features of 4 from what it seems. is the flash ram available anywhere if i did want to upgrade?

-which sound rom's are compatible with the e6400 classic? any of them or just the older ones?

thanks
,matt

i just found this site that sells a flash rom for upgrading to EOS4.7

http://www.eprelectronics.com/store/htm ... la-82.html

but i know that the e6400 cannot have 4.7 on it. so would this flash rom work in the classic?
