I can't get it to see my sampler  I'll have to try more when I get home tonight.

Seems pretty full-featured, but I'm a bit concerned that it's Java-based. Java apps never seem to work too well as audio apps.

Were you gonna charge $350 for it?

If not, I'd say keep working on yours. Pretty much everybody on the Emu list choked when they saw the price, myself definitely included.

No, I was going to release it as shareware actually.

Maybe I'll keep working... But first, to download their demo and steal all of their ideas!!! :finger: :finger: :finger:

Anyone having any luck with this? It looks really good and I can see it extending the shelf life of our beloved hardware if this guy gets enough support. I haven't had a chance to play with it...Nads.
(If only E--MU would implement the 200 sysex stubs they have for the RFX in 4.7...this software could get really dangerous)

i tried it, it needs midi communication in both ways before it can see the sampler. Its a nice idea, but to be honest i didnt really like it at all, and the gui is non standard.

So what's the big deal about having to have midi connected both ways to see the sampler?? You have to do that with SoundDiver anyway! And a non--standard GUI...I don't really think E--MU's (although I am used to it after 6 years) is crash hot anyway! Kudos to the man for having the balls to do something ambitious and has needed addressing for some time...Remember...this is it's first iteration and I think Muon deserves all the support he can get (even if it is a tad pricey)...
He wrote back to me and said that he has taken a year off to totally devote himself to this project. I am of the firm belief that once any bugs are sorted, having a non E-MU sanctioned piece of software might actually mean that the users are actually listened to and not lost in a myriad of Creative red--tape
SoundDiver is OK but leaves a lot to be asked for in terms of leveraging the creative potential of the sampler we all know and love...Just my 0.02...Nads

I'm also applauding his try to provide us with a real solution and not a half-baked attempt.

Saying that, price will be an issue, and I will not part with $250 for something I can achieve with a combination of various software that I already have.

But if it manages to manage samples whilst being able to fully edit presets, then I will certainly consider buying ZeOS.
