Sysex question

Postby illinformed » Mon Sep 29, 2003 1:49 pm

Does anyone have any sysex spec for the e6400 ultra. I have worked out a few bits and bobs from my Kenton Control Freak profiles however they only allow you to change the parameters of one voice at a time. I am specifically looking for the way to select groups of voices and all voices. I am also looking for the sysex for sample 'start offset' in the 'voice modifiers' page.

Thanks in advance
Andrew

Yes, I have the spec. Will upload it to the uploads area...

However, it's not nearly complete.. E-Mu seems to not maintain it. Very old document (they just sent it to me last week and claim it's the newest they have)

Sorry dude, you're supposed to PM me once it's uploaded. I know that's a shit system and I'll try to get an alternative in place by the end of the week.

Anyway it's in the Downloads section in 'Other useful files' or click the link below

This document is really handy although there is something that I can't figure out. I want to be able to select 'All voices'. This can be accessed from EOS in 2 ways although I'm pretty much sure they both trigger the same flag in EOS.

1. Preset Edit - Global (F3) - Edit all (F6)
2. Preset Edit - Voices (F5) - Edit Voice (F6) - Utils (F1) - Vselect (F1) - All(F5) - Ok (F6)

I've figured out using sysex how to select a single voice, and group of voices, but not all. If anyone knows how to do this I'd be most grateful.

I have a 311k Word document from 1999 on remote sysex editing with EOS4. Is this what was uploaded? If not, let me know and I'll upload the doc I have. I recall E-Mu not giving this one but an old one concerning EOS 2.8.

Yep that's the one.

I'm gonna give emu an email to see if they can tell me the sysex for selecting all voices. I might also Mr Zeos as it seems he knows a thing or two about sysex.
