Thanks!
I'm curious - now that you have the Eventide do you find the RFX card redundant? I have the little brother Eventide (the Eclipse) and wonder if the RFX32 would be worth pursuing - even at the high price it fetches these days.
No , i bought the H8 in addition to the RFX32. I never give this Card away. For me is the RFX32 a/the integral component in the E-MU/EOS.
Specialy the Routing in/within the preset and voice . The Mixer is one of the Key´s in this EOS Modular sythem.
I like and never missed also some FX of the RFX Card.Old Emu Flanger/ChO , the Input_delay, also Grunglizerand and the Vocoder are usefull Plugs.
EQ and Comp are very usefully for Synth/filter corrections...they are more than ok for that Stuff...why not use them ?
I bought the H8000 as an extension to the "Mod" System EOS and shurly for realtime modulation. There are no Softplug out wich can be Move/Sound like this Unit!
...and this without Latency!
I know it does much more, but what do you think of the quality of the reverbs?
don´t know what u mean ? the H8 reverbs?
Great ! more than Great ! physically sound at Better than the RFX Reverb " But this only one Part of Quality .
There are also the fact of Subjectivity ...and the EOS Reverb has a nice Cremy_Charme.
And how would you compare it to other dedicated multi-FX units in the $1k range?
Nothing , realy nothing. exept Eventide . Minimum is the DSP 4000 and later...
