Pitch shifting without changing tempo

Pitch shifting without changing tempo - is this possible in EMU Ultras? And if yes, then how? Any info appreciated!

Does that do all the samples on the board? I mean this is just for individual samples, to pitch shift occasionally, no?

EOS has no realtime pitch shifting where the tempo is not changed.
You have to process all samples one by one with the mentioned tool.

Pitch a drum break without changing the tempo

Cut the beat into individual hits
Map each hit to a seperate key
Re-sequence the hits to make the original beat (or countless permutations)
assign pitch to a controller (or even seperate controllers for the pitch of each hit)

When you move the controller(s) the pitch shifts but not the tempo VOILA!
Powerful stuff ;)

Hmm, what about the beat munging feature? It automatically slices up your samples for you based on amplitude peaks. It might not be perfect but, it may server your purpose.

futher to cutting the beat into individual hits
Load your loop into recycle on PC - This sotware will intelligently cut it into hits for you and save them all into a folder as wavs, it will also save the hit seqence timing as a midi file for playback.
Then just load them into your emu, map, play the hits in correct sequence with the midi file and warp the pitch with controllers, alter tempo, resequence, filter, whatever.
As I said "powerful stuff"
you can find copys of this software on plenty of filesharing sites if price is an issue, but if you then find the software indispensible pay for it!
