Output board

Postby Breaktime » Wed Nov 26, 2003 7:10 pm

hi Guys, sooooo, do I get an output board for my E5k or buy an Emu E6400- which comes standard with 8outputs??? - I really need outputs - to gain full control over each sound - drums , bass , percs, fx etc.....
The e6400 is not much more compared to the output board for the E5k

anyways, what are you views????

Thanks

If the e6400 is not that much more then get that, you'll then have you'll have 8 plus the outs on your e5000 and the benefits of owning to emus

If you can get the output board for around ?150-200 (got mine off ebay for that, one in Sound on Sound for ?180 in classifieds) then maybe that's the solution. Either way you're laughing

Get the E6400 and keep the e5000. I was thinking about getting a e5000 just for drums. That would be perfect just run the emu in single mode or what ever it's called when you load only one preset at a time and have it routed to the outputs

I got an E5000 and was pissed about the outputs too. But the expansion board costs too much. So I got a non-Ultra E4X-Turbo for 400 bucks and now I have two samplers and 14 outputs.
