zip250 model# for 5000 ultra?

Postby groovebright » Sun Aug 25, 2013 4:46 am

Hey, can anyone tell me what model# zip250 drive you are using/used on your 5000 ultra? I'm looking for one on ebay or amazon but can't seem to hone in on what I need. Some sellers are listing parallel ones as scsi but I know they are not by the pictures and model numbers. I can find 100mb ones but would like the 250 one.
Thanks to all!

Z250S
The last letter indicates connection type..... P=Parallel S=SCSI
The parallel type are Z250P, no good for SCSI gear.
There currently doesn't seem to be any on eBay.
Rear connectors are 25pin type, these look the same as parallel type but the back will also have 2 selector switches
1 SCSI termination on/off
2 SCSI channel selector 5/6
You will also need a 25pin to 50pin (centronics) SCSI cable

Here is a suitable cable for £3.55 inc P&P
