Ive got zip files of some AKAI CDRoms , they contain large files , but how do you burn and transfer them to an readable format for the Emu, I burned the files , but the Emu doesnt read the CDR.
Are you burning an image? Are you sure the burn was successful? If the disk is in fact an actual Akai disc then the E-mu will read it fine. If you use any VSTi's that can read Akai's or if you use Translator try reading the disc with those applications. If you can't read the CD with the E-mu or other software packages, I would say your CD may be corrupted.
It depends which Akai format - Eos can read S1000 and S3000 (ESi just reads S1000), but neither can read S5000 format, which I presume is what you have if they're in zip format. The only way to convert them to EMU format that I know of is Chickensys' Translator, which I've personally found a bit patchy - there is a demo version to download, but I'm not really sure how functional it is. http://www.chickensys.com/translator
ive tried Chicken and CD Extract , but they dont even read the files, there are 4 files in the ZIP , CCD file, CUE file, IMG file and SUB file. The Image file is 603,146 kb , so there's something there.
