e64 classic update

Postby space echo » Fri Jan 09, 2004 8:17 am

Hello,

i have an e64 that i want to update to version 4 software...

emu said that they don't sell the upgrade kitwhich contains the 2mb cpu flash ram any longer....

however, i have seen the 6320 update kit that contains a 16mb rom chip of sounds and it also contains a 2mb flash ram chip.

my question is if this will let me upgrade to version 4 software??

i have got the feeling it will, but i will probably not have any flash ram left for the presets of the rom block???

Still, i would consider buying this kit to upgrade the os. I can always give the rom chip away to one of my mates (so far i have converted 2 of them to the emulator)

thanks for reading everyone...

this site is the one.

I bought the sound kit on ebay for 450, and chucked the cpu flash chipinto my E6400 and updated to 4.61. Works like a champ.

Oddly enough though my E6400 won't boot with the ROM chip (E-Synth Sounds) installed. Not that I care, I can now use my ADAT kit!!
