E4XT hard disk probs

Postby elemental » Mon Feb 09, 2004 2:00 pm

Just got a 2nd hand E4XT last week.

Last night, I was playing with a preset, and tried to save and it said "No Banks in Folder!" "No Banks in Drive" !!!!

So I left it on overnight and now its OK.... was thinking I might need to get a new hard disk for it...???

Probably Yes?

Is the HD an IDE drive or a SCSI drive? I have an internal IDE drive in my e5000 and I use a small external SCSI drive as well. Occasionally I get a similar error with my SCSI drive. The first time this happened I almost had a heart attack but I just remounted the drive and everything was in order. I am not exactly sure why this happens but remounting the drive seems to work. I believe the drive is fine though. I hope this helps.

Hi,
I recently got a 2nd hand E4XT as well and experienced the same thing when first trying to save to the hard drive, but after formatting the drive (theres an option to do that in the drive browser) I've had no trouble saving + browsing the drive
