EOS 4.7 without RFX card

Postby stoutjunk2 » Tue Feb 17, 2004 12:17 am

What benefits does OS 4.7 have over OS 4.1 if I were to load it on a E6400 Ultra that does not have a RFX card?

Thanks in advance!

I remember someone saying you could have a huge harddrive with 4.7, there was no 20 gig limit.

DON'T!
FAT Drive
FAT formatted drives CANNOT share the SCSI bus with EOS and a PC. The PC?s operating
system does not understand the concept of two master SCSI devices and may overwrite
and damage your EOS sample files.

***
For what ive read, you might lose data if you hace connected a SCSI HD on you sampler, and ZIP, with the PC via Scsi card

Ive a Emu5000 ultra, with 8gb Internal SCSI HD, a external ZIP driver for backup and i trade samples via adaptec 2930 scsi and soundforge.
Im using 4.1 too, so please if some one can tell which is the EOS more convinient!
There some Eos ive installed wich dont let me resample, with the msg "NO RFX CARD INSTALLED!", wich of course i dont have.
ive to reinstall 4.1 :(
