It really depends on how you work.

If you are used to or want the flexibility that a software sequencer provides. No way.


If you just want something to play back parts recorded from a soft sequencer to avoid taking your computer on the road. Yes

If you have a drum machine or groove box to do all of your beat programming and just want to use the E4 sequencer for recording atmosphere around your grooves. Its OK

If you are an extraordinary musician and can ofter record long passages in a single take with no tweaking of the sequence data. sure
