Do you guys use stereo samples? If so, then i have some news for you that you may not have known about.
if you use stereo samples, your polyphony is reduced by half. that is right, your 128 voices of poly is reduced to 64, and for those of use, like me that have the 5000 with only 64 voice poly get it reduced down to only 32.
Some of you may have already known this, but i sure didn't. I thought that the poly was striaght 64. But i couldn't quite figure out why, under my calculations i was getting drop out at about 24 p. the reason is, i am running a bunch of stereo samples, and if you look at your channel volume (those of us that have the 64 poly, you will see only two lines of dots, 64 dots total, and i assume those with 128 will see 4 lines) you can actualy see how much each sound is taking up of the polyphony.
some what disappointing, but i will work around it, like i always do. Just wanted to tell people how the poly works on these machines.
now, if i can just fix the rest of my midi issues....
oh well, learn something every day.
