i read about this a little bit last night, but i don't understand it though. from what i understand is when you have a dc off set the wave is actualy above the zero mark. for example if you had a sine wave only the bottom of the valleys touch the zero crossing... in an extreme case. but i don't even know what this would sound like. any body can explain how that sounds?
anyway, there is a function that is suppose to fix this in the tools. but it sounds like that you have already done that. if you haven't already, i think it is in tools 2 the first button to the left. i think it is called dc filter.
now, when you say that your dc offset is all over the place, are you actualy only able to see part of the wave? like the lower or upper half? i wonder if perhaps the original sample had this issue. maybe when you sample something at the start, the off set is already there. and you finally noticed when you did a resample. could that be?
i know my sampler inverts everything. so when i think i have a sine wave that starts positive, it is actually starting negative. doesn't bother me though.
i wouldn't worry too much about the off set if it is not causing you problems.
maybe you could do a diagnosis or recalibrate the sampler... or reinstall the eos... by the way what eos are you on?
other then that, i have no idea. hope you get it sorted though.
