Postby trope » Wed May 19, 2004 10:46 pm

hello to all - ive bn lurkin on your forum for a couple months and want to say thanx for the resource. i hope to contribute when i am no longer such a n00b.

my e64 is my first piece of hardware and im gettin it up and running with an updated OS and only a CDRW to load samples with. i got the CDRW running today but found that i couldnt read a disk of .aiff format samples burned in FAT, most likely (as i learned here) because i was using EOS 4.61. i d/led that version from emu's site b/c the downloads here are all .dlis...so -

where can i get the 4.7 .exe?

thanx again! :spliff:

duh, shd hv used .dli as a search term...

.dli is for EOS updates via Mac midi, .exe is for pc updates via floppy

4.7 is still here as of this date (in case any1 finds this thread on the same search):

Heuuu, does it mean that with 4.7, you can load wav or aiff files from a CD??? That would solve all my problems!

An E64 (non-Ultra) will only work with OS 4.10a man. All the versions above are for the Ultras. Hope this saves you some headaches.

There is an EOS 4.61 for Classic Emulators, but you will need 2 MB of CPU flash installed.

EOS 4.7 only does FAT format disk reading on hard disks, zips and floppys

will it read programs (.e4b whathever extension...) as well as samples???
Can I prepare programs on my mac, dump them on a FAT formatted zip and load them in my EMU?

Thx

Where can I find the EOS 4.61 for Classic Emulators and the 2 MB of CPU flash ?

I downloaded the one from the emu website but after unzipping it, I tried to save it on a floppy disk but both files were more than my the size on my floppy.
Is there another way of installing it or are there bigger floppy disks ?

regards... Johan
