Did u get this sortid? I usually don't like to get involved with Windows solutions esp concerning SCSI. (such a nuisance those M$ OS's)

XP will provide a driver for the card. If it is successfully installed u may wish to verify this. If u know how to access the 'Device Manager' in XP please do so ( right click My Computer, select 'Manage' on the left u see device manager in the tree). In the list there will be an entry for SCSI cards, if your device driver is installed and operational there will be a little SCSI icon which u may click to view details of the card. If there driver has not been installed u will see a yellow exclamation mark in the list probably listed as 'Other or unknown device' i don't use windows so please forgive me if any terminology is not accurate during descriptions (im sure u will use your own initiative here). If u need to install a driver there are several ways to go about this :

? Navigate adaptec.com site for driver downloads

http://adaptec.com/worldwide/support/dr ... y=AVA-2906

? Use Windows Update to scan the machine for a possible driver

? Right click the icon with the exclamation mark in the device manager and select 'update driver from internet'

Once this mundane task has been taken care of your next logical step would be to install the ASPI software layer in order for the card to communicate with the Sample Xfer software of choice (we get to that laiterz).

Some essential links :

http://chickensystems.com/support/softw ... /aspi.html

http://chickensystems.com/downloads/disk_tools.php

After all this messing around (sorry u have to go thru this, your platform of choice was not a wise one) you should be able to access your EMU with either Translator on Chicken Systems page, Recycle 2.0 (not 2.1), Wavelab, Sound Forge, or WaveSurgeon etc .

http://www.squarecircle.com/wavesurgeon/main.html

Not Sure if Chicken Systems Translator can batch send samples (most CAN'T) then it would be the preferred app to use for regular samples - Wave Surgeon would be the best for choppin up drum loops, id suggest u locate a pir8'd version of Recycle if u wanted to use this for drum loops those asshole deserve NO support after they removed SCSI sample transfers from the Latest and only version that runs on Mac OS X... fsck'n cuntz, but that's my little protest and many other Mac users for that matter :-) No doubt it will be a problem for Windows users when Longhorn ships!!!

Anywayz, best of luck, you'll honestly need it..ASPI is a real pita to get working correctly !!!
