Does anyone knows of anyone selling stuff for emus?

Scsibobs is now a cable only shop and has stoped replying mails...

I'm searching for the folowing stuff:
- SCSI card (pc->emu connection)
- 64Mb RAM
- Hard drive mounting kit
- RFX card
- E-Synth/Orbit/Phat sounds

My emu is a 5000 ultra...

Hard drive mounting kit

Postby Breaktime » Wed Oct 13, 2004 11:14 pm

forget the hard drive mounting kit, that's a waste of money - all you need to do is get a 4 pin computer power connector lead, one end that goes into the emu circuit board and the other end which is also 4 pin but bigger that goes into a hard drive....now, I guess you don't know which cable im talking about! We'll if you open a pc up then you'll know (atleast you'll know which connector you need for the h/d) - if you open the emu up then you should be able to work out the sized of the other 4pin connector. The tricky part is that the positive must be swapped with the negative lead - what im gonna have to do is take a few pictures of my emu and show you this.......I hope you follow what im rabbiting on about.....

as for emu memory - im sure you can use stanard simms but i was advised not to, what about ebay???

Funnily enough I've just ordered 128 meg for my E6400 Ultra from them. I went via this link http://www.oempcworld.com/mmatrix.htm. They even ask you to type in the make and model number of your sampler when you place the order. I assume this is to double check that you have ordered the right memory - what a jolly nice thing to do.

Haven't seen that before... sure is nice to have that, shows real costumer care.

15USD is also a nice price...

about the SCSI, any SCSI-2 card w/ 25 pins connector will won't it?

I've been browsing/searching the emusonacid for the "keyword" scsi in the foruns and that's all i've got...

just one more question:

what is the "sensible" price to pay for an e-synth/orbit card for the 5000 ultra?

thanks [[[]]]
