SCSI on a powerbook running OSX 10.3

Postby drsdncodex » Wed Oct 27, 2004 12:38 am

hi there.
just got a powerbook running panther,
and i want to purchase an usb or firewire to scsi adapter,
to send samples to my EmuUltra.
does anyone know anything about that?
I use to do it on a dual G4 running jaguar with Peak,
and it was working perfectly, but apparently panther is not as much reliable regarding scsi....
thanx for your help! peace.

maybe you can try on the logic forum at apple

http://discussions.info.apple.com/logic/

I'm going to have a new mac in a few week, i'd like to know the answer to your question.

i bougt an orangemicro firewire to scsi adapter second hand (they don't sell them anymore) but it didn't work with peak under 10.3.
the only software that worked for me was smdi from http://airy.andre.online.fr/. it's freeware and it's cool. :-)

if u have stability problems try this

After updating to 4.1.4 i did the following:

1. With Resorcerer, navigate through the Peak application package: Peak 4 (G4+)/Contents/MacOS/Peak 4 (G4+) and open the file's data fork.

2. Click the disclosure triangle in the upper left of the new Resorcerer window and untick the Hex box.

3. Search for A0R8G (the first five characters of the version 4.x authorization code) and change one letter: "G", for example, to "H". The code is in Resorcerer's "2-Byte" (ASCII) column, not in the "Hex Data" column.

3. Save and launch Peak 4.14

Now it works perfect.
