Sick Emu E-Synth Ultra. Help!!!!

Postby Diginerd » Mon Jan 17, 2005 5:00 am

On boot it hangs at the following screen:-

Code: Select all
EOS Primary Loader
Version 01f05
Verifyingchecksum...
System found in FLASH...
Verifying csum: 0x08860e57

Checking FLASH...

Prior to this it was working just fine just 5 minutes prior to this starting to happen. I powered down the studio and then brought it all back up, and this happened out of the blue.. No recent hardware / software changes.

It was running version 4.62.

Tried booting with FLASH Prep disk in, but no luck, tried booting with the EOS disk in and also no luck..

Anyone seen this before? Any ideas how to fix it?

My hunch is that the flash is corrupted, but how to bypass that?

Cheers,

Rob

Oh oh. Looks like the flash is fucked. I had this on my old E6400 and had to send it away to get a flash upgrade (2M was all the non-Ultras could take I think) because there was some soldering to do to fit it and I got two left thumbs. Anyone know what sort of sticks the Ultras take and if they are still available. I have a 4M stick in mine and aside from a HD meltdown this is the problem that I fear most.

hi,

Does anyone get the reference of this kind of FLASH RAM ?

I Think that I have a big problem with it ,My device is an E-mu E4XT Ultra .

I had a similar problem as Diginerd.

So ,i'm looking for this reference to purchase or command it.

Thanks,
sun
