problem with scsi using FAT/EOS 4.7

Postby austinbot » Sat Feb 12, 2005 1:10 am

first let me say that i just found this site earlier in the week after owning an emu e6400 ultra for a couple years now (no rfx...shame).

ANYWAYS..... i found that 4.7 was out through this site and i thought i'd try formatting my drive in the 6400 to FAT. the problem is..... my PC cant seem to find my EMU when the internal drive is formatted as a FAT drive. DOES THIS EVEN MAKE SENSE??? seems to be the case though... because if i format it back to EMU format and reboot.... my PC see's the sampler.

anyone know if this is an issue with 4.7 or what? i dont understand how the drive in the EMU should make a difference at all but apparently it does.

...i'm running XP.

thanks in advance :)
