BEDROOM BEATS: A platform for producers and DJs

Postby Charlie Marley » Fri Feb 18, 2005 3:08 pm

Hi everyone.

Some of you may have heard that myself and peter piper have a show on the forthcoming broadcast of Fresh Air FM.

Anyways, Fresh Air is a station run by students from the unis in Edinburgh. It begins broadcasting on 87.7 FM and the internet for 24 hours a day on Feb 25th for one month.

Our slot is 5-7am on Saturdays (after club shows including manga) The concept behind our show, Bedroom Beats, is to give as many producers and DJs as possible a chance to get their tunes heard.

As well as original music, each week we'll have a mixed set spanning some of the many genres of electronicly-made music, as well as basic production tutorials for using Cubass and Logic.

The point of this is that we want anyone who makes their own music to send us some for the show! It can be ANYTHING youve made yourself, but no bands (theres plenty of platforms out there for them already).

Get in touch with us at: bedroombeats@gmail.com

Finally, dont forget to tune in if any of yous is awake at that time in the morning (strictly for the hardcore ravers!)

Easy

Funny, most of the producers I have met in Edinburgh were Akai monkeys.
Good to see fellow Emu users this far North!

Good luck with the Show!

Akai monkeys..... I'm not even gonna retort, 'silverback'.

These boys are my brethren. Bedroom beats will be ruff, tough, & dangerous.........

Seriously though, If anyone want's to try & get their stuff played on 'bedroom beats' just PM Charlie Marley, & he'll give you details as to where to post your CDs etc.

It doesn't have to be perfect; I haven't got a mixing desk so mine won't be!

Still, it'll be refreshing to hear raw stuff, that has'nt been 'put through the mill'.
