sub channels still going to main outs? help!

Postby eepz » Sun Feb 19, 2006 7:49 pm

Hello!

I just got an e6400 ultra over the weekend and have been trying to get my head around it. It has 8 outs and the rfx card with 4 additional in's. no adat or anything else.

excuse beforehand if i ramble and dont make alot of sense its still all new! I tried searching but couldnt find anything here also.

My problem is I am trying to route my drums and bass to the sub out channels 2+3 and have them heavy panned left and right to get mono on my mixing desk channels. I have the MAIN outputs (L+R) on a stereo channel in the mixing desk. im setting up the outputs in the voice section. I get everything fine on sub outs 2+3 (the drums and bass) but everything is ALSO still coming out the MAIN outputs, both left and right! this is kind of infurating because ive tried everything and cant figure out why these voices are playing on these, even though they are routed to the sub outs...

Now ive checked in the rfx setup. it COULD be something crazy in there. to be honest I really havnt even explored that area at all and when I did i got lost :???:

Any ideas at all on whats going on here or where I could check? is this normal operation for everything to always play out the main outs no matter their voice routing?

On the RFX Bus Page (where you choose what effects you want where), make sure the Main send is at 0% (top right hand side of screen) as the default BUS setting always sends to Main 100%.
